Gekko has been re-certified as a Cisco Premier Partner in the UK. We have again met all requirements for achieving Cisco Premier Certification, including personnel, support and specialization. We have invested heavily over the last couple of years to continue to build an extensive knowledge and expert understanding of Cisco’s technology portfolio. Adding to our expert engineer qualifications, we have also invested a lot of time and effort to learn and understand more about Unified Communications and Data Centre technologies. This in turn has given us the ability to pass the exams required to achieve Advanced Collaboration Architecture Specialisation, Express Collaboration Specialisation – both of which are specialisations for Unified Comms – and, Unified Computing Technology Specialisation for Data Centre.
Not too many people are aware of the expertise Gekko has in-house when it comes to IT Networks. We try not to use or discuss the words IT or IT Networks too much. This is because our approach is to engage and discuss with businesses what it is they’re looking to achieve with their technology systems. What it is about technology that is holding them back? What are the challenges they’re facing? And, what are the desired outcomes should they invest in technology?
What you should know…
It’s that we’re actually experts when it comes to IT Networks, we have in-house a highly skilled technical team, housing some of the best engineers the UK has to offer. All of our engineers hold Cisco engineering certifications, which are the industry standard when it comes to acknowledging skills. With our update for re-certification as a Cisco Premier Partner, I thought I would take the opportunity to highlight some of the skills that we have when it comes to IT Networks.
We have a team of six engineers with the following qualifications:
The Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) is for expert-level network design engineers, expert-level network leads of IT infrastructure teams, and expert-level network leads of architecture teams working in job roles that require them to translate business needs, budget, and operational constraints into the design of a converged solution. The CCDE curriculum prepares designers to develop design solutions at the infrastructure level for large customer networks. Network engineers holding an active CCDE certification are recognized for their expert-level knowledge and skills in network infrastructure design. The deep technical networking knowledge that a CCDE brings ensures that they are well qualified to address the most technically challenging network infrastructure design assignments.
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing and Switching (CCIE Routing and Switching) certifies the skills required of expert-level network engineers to plan, operate and troubleshoot complex, converged network infrastructure.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching certification validates the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaboratively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.
CCNA Routing and Switching is for Network Specialists, Network Administrators, and Network Support Engineers with 1-3 years of experience. The CCNA Routing and Switching validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks
What does this mean for you?
We have the skills, experience and knowledge that can benefit you and your business. We can assist with pretty much all things that relate to the IT Network, such as: Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Telephony, Video Conferencing, Contact Centre, Cloud Computing and Converged Infrastructure.
