What was our challenge?
Internet connectivity: Like most businesses on Trafford Park, Manchester, Grono were having a hard time with a very slow, unreliable internet connection. Many of the traditional internet providers were unable to meet their core needs. As a modern eBusiness, they need to be online all day, every day as this is where the majority of their orders come from/ Along with their cloud-based CRM, disruption to service would mean significant loss of revenue.
Telephony: With a number of direct telephone lines, customers often complained that the lines were engaged and when a call needed transferring the cordless phone that the call was taken on had to be physically passed over to the correct person. There was also a consensus that they were losing business from calls that were placed out of hours.
How did we help?
We improved their telecoms by providing them with a modern cloud based telephone system, making it easier to transfer calls to colleagues regardless of their location or device. They can now transfer calls to mobile phones meaning they can be in the office even when they are out. As all telephone calls are recorded there is a full record of every calls to help Grono deal with disputes should they arise.
We also deployed a hosted telephony system and included all UK telephone calls for one fixed monthly fee per user meaning that there are never any nasty surprises regardless of how often they use the telephone.
As a result, Grono has a proactive IT support agreement that includes anti-virus management.

Prior to this the operations manager would spend at least half a day a week dealing with various IT issues. Since moving the IT support to Gekko he commented that ‘it just works’.
